SOS received the 2008 "Clean Water Champion" award from Upstate Forever for our voice in the opposition of a permit that would have allowed a direct discharge of wastewater effluent into the North Saluda River.
2011 Riverkeeper Award- Rick Smith
SOS Volunteer for 2011- Rick Smith has helped with fundraising since 2008 and continues to serve as a board member. Rick is currently active with the committee planning the 1st Annual Save Our Saluda Kayak/Canoe fishing tournament.
