Save Our Saluda Focus  areas include the following:

1) increasing environmental awareness about threats to the Saluda  watershed through community outreach and educational programs
2)initiating the process of State Scenic River designation for the South Saluda River
3) reclassification of portions of the North and South Saluda Rivers from Freshwaters (FW) to trout put,grow, and take (TPGT)
4)acting as "Riverkeeper" by stakeholder participation in the regulatory decision making process
5)perform water quality monitoring throughout the upper Saluda watershed to establish baseline values and detect any changes in the water quality
6) partnering with other Conservation organizations in efforts to protect and restore the natural resources of the Saluda watershed
